EPA Considers Mix of Standards, Trading to Replace CAIR
The Environmental Protection Agency will consider a hybrid system
combining regional emissions trading with targeted emission standards
for power plants in response to federal court decisions striking down
two earlier air pollution rules, an agency official told a Senate

Risk-Based Decisionmaking Suspended As EPA Eyes Chemical Management Strategy
The Environmental Protection Agency has suspended the development
and publication of decisions it is making under the risk-based portion
of its Chemical Assessment and Management Program (ChAMP). It will decide before October on how it will assess, prioritize, and take risk management actions on chemicals of concern. Publication date July 13, 2009
